Alpaca fibre is exceptionally fine, warm and lustrous with a very soft feel. The fibre is extremely durable second only in strength to silk and comes in 22 different natural shades and colours.
Alpaca fleeces makes beautiful wool. We can process your fleeces to make 4ply, double knit, aran or chunky.
We can also process to 3 ply but please be aware that 3 ply is not particulary strong or suitable for knitting machines unless it has an extra twist. We can also wax the yarn which is sometimes required when using knitting machines. |

Alpaca Roving - Spinning |
If you only require your fleeces taken to the roving stage then we are also happy to process them to that point, then you can hand spin the rovings yourself.
A independent spinning service is also available for rovings even if we have not processed the fleece in the beginning.
